Welcome to Canvas Overview

During your time at Snow College, you will use Canvas for your face-to-face and online courses. Because Canvas is such an important part of your educational career, we have created this training to help you understand what Canvas is, how to complete coursework in Canvas, and how to be a better online student. This first module is about what Canvas is and how to configure your settings.

By the end of this module, you should be able to:

• Recognize what Canvas is;
• Use the global and course navigation;
• Update your profile;
• Update your notification preferences
• Manage your personal files;
• View announcements;
• Communicate with others within Canvas; and
• Search Canvas' Student Guides.
