Homework Instructions
The list of problems to do is here.
Do homework in small groups, but make sure you understand the concepts before writing on your own paper. Discussion is helpful, and teaching someone else is a great way to learn. However, writing down answers without understanding is considered academic dishonesty. Get help in the math lab (schedule here Download here).
There are various types of questions/projects/problems at the end of the chapters (assignments listed here). Write everything neatly on paper. Neatness and clarity is important.
For each chapter pick five Review Questions of your own choosing to answer. Please pick interesting rather than easy questions. The five questions should come from different subsections of the chapter.
Most chapters have some Projects too. I usually assign one, two, or three of those, and you pick the ones you want to do (and have the materials at your apartment for). Please pick interesting rather than easy projects.
All chapters have Exercises. I usually assign 8–10 of them. Show your work.
Most chapters have Problems that are a little more involved than the Exercises. I usually assign 2–4 of those.
Here are the homework assignments.
