Subscribing to Email Lists

Subscribing to Larry Smith's class e-mail listswrite_header();

   How to Subscribe to Class E-mail Lists.

  To subscribe to the class e-mail list send a message to listmanager@lists.snow.edu. You need not fill in the subject line for this message because it will be read by a program, not a person. In the main body of the text type a one-line message saying "subscribe LS-color <Your Real Name>" (without the quotes or the < > signs, and where color is a color that corresponds to your class, as mentioned in class or on the syllabus).

Use plain text as the listmanager can't understand styled text or html tags.
 Here is a hypothetical (there isn't really a beige list) example:

 to: listmanager@lists.snow.edu
 subject:
 cc:
 bcc:
 ----------------------
 subscribe LS-beige Jane Doe

 Click the Send button and then Check Mail. You should get a message asking you to respond (by clicking a URL) to confirm that you want to subscribe. Do confirm. Then check mail again and you should have a message saying you are on the class list.

 Now any message you send to LS-color@lists.snow.edu will go to the whole list (everyone in the class). Remember, send to listmanager@lists.snow.edu to get on or off the list, but to add to the class discussion send to LS-color@lists.snow.edu.

 Unsubscribing

 To get off the list at the end of the term send a one line message (in the body) to listmanager@lists.snow.edu   saying "unsubscribe LS-color" (no quotes).  Here is a hypothetical (there isn't really a beige list) example:
