About This Course
Welcome to International Partners. This class is a requirement for all TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) majors, but it is open to all Snow College students.
The course is repeatable for credit, so you can take it as many times as you want, and you get credit for it each time you take it. The course is offered the second session of both Fall Semester (TESL 1052) and Spring Semester (TESL 1054). It is an eight-week class.
You will be partnered with someone from a different culture than your own. You will do an activity outside of class with your partner every week, and then write a "journal" about that activity. The activities can be anything that allows you to learn more about your partner's culture. You will submit one journal every week.
You will also do readings designed to increase your understanding of living in and dealing with other cultures. We will do cultural awareness activities in class each time we meet also.
