Video Viewing Assignment

            This video viewing assignment has three purposes. The first is to give you the opportunity to become familiar with the videos available in the Snow College Library. The second is to have you become familiar with documenting video references n MLA format, and the third is to expand your knowledge and descriptive language of the various genres of dance.

            You will need to view a 10-minute segment of a professional video listed below.  You may view videos at other libraries or use online resources (Netflix, YouTube, vimeo, hulu, etc.).

            For each viewing you will turn in the viewing form.  Include all the documentation it requires, video references in MLA Format. Do not submit a text entry. In the body of the form you should describe what you view.  Organize this in terms of areas we defined to analyze dance; the elements (body, space, shape, time, energy); the action; the style; the choreographic form; and the quality. Finally determine what you might use this video for in the future.  

            The assignment is due on the last day we experience these dance genres.
