Play with this Photoelectric Effect simulation (Links to an external site.) at colorado.edu long enough to understand it.  This might be less than 15 minutes, or it might be more than 30 min, or any number in between, but do it long enough to understand it and why the classical explanation was inadequate and why Einstein's works.

In your response, tell me what you learned (two sentences) and how long you spent with the simulation.

The PhET physics site: http://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulations/category/physics (Links to an external site.)

The java simulations can be run in a browser or you can download them and run them as stand-alone applications.
