Final Exam

Please complete the five questions listed below. Submit them as one double-spaced word (or similar) document. Please take note of the minimum word count for each question.

Question 1 (min 275 words): The Boys in the Boat is not a traditional text for a Peer Mentoring class. Why do you think I selected this book for you to read? How does it relate to Peer Mentoring? What lessons/examples from the book can you apply to your role as a Peer Mentor?

Question 2 (min 275 words): What character do you relate to the most in The Boys in the Boat? Why?

Question 3 (min 275 words): During this course you've been exposed to the basics of student development theory and the basics of High Impact Educational Practices. How have these things shaped your thinking about Peer Mentoring? How will this basic knowledge help you as you serve in your role as a Peer Mentor?

Question 4 (min 175 words): Assess your own quality of work in this class. What grade do you feel you've earned? Did you complete the work thoroughly and on-time? Did you read the book thoroughly? Did you put forth good effort on your PowerPoint Project.

Question 5 (no minimum but a required question): Let me know your availability on Monday, August 21st and Tuesday, August 22nd. I am trying to find a common time (even if it's evening/night) for us to get together face-to-face as a group to begin the semester.
