Dawkins: "All life evolves by the differential survival of replicating entities" [p. 311].

"Truth may be a helpful quality for a meme, but it is only one among many" [p. 312]  "The meme is not the dancer but the dance" [p. 314].

"Memes are seldom copied exactly;... they mutate with a wild flexibility that would be fatal in biology" [p. 321].

Dawkins: "Memes have not yet found their Watson and Crick; they even lack their Mendel" [p. 321].

Dretske: "In the beginning there was information.  The word came later" [p. 323].
